ITINERARY

SRINAGAR – KARGIL (202 KMS | 6-7 HRS APPROX.)

Commence your journey in the morning from Srinagar and head towards Kargil. Enroute, explore Sonamarg, Zojila Pass (11,575 ft), Drass Village (2nd Coldest Inhabitant place in the World), and the War Memorial Hall & Museum. Reach Kargil by evening. Overnight stay in Kargil.

DAY 02: KARGIL – SHAM (150 KMS | 4-5 HRS APPROX.)

After breakfast, depart for Sham. On the way, explore Mulbek with its giant Buddha Sculpture on Rock Mountain, Lamayuru (the oldest Monastery of Ladakh), and witness the Moon-like landscape as you reach the Lamayuru Monastery. Lunch at Ule or Alchi. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure. Overnight stay in Sham.

DAY 03: SHAM TO LEH (70 KMS | 4 - 5 HRS APPROX.)

Following breakfast, drive to Leh, making stops at Alchi Monastery, Sangam, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, and the Hall of Fame en route. Arrive in Leh by afternoon. In the evening, explore Shanti Stupa and Leh Market. Overnight stay in Leh.

DAY 04: LEH - NUBRA VALLEY (128 KMS | 4-5 HRS APPROX.)

After breakfast, embark on a drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (the Highest Motorable road in the world at 18,380 ft). Take short breaks at roadside cafes and scenic points for photography. On arrival, check in to your hotel/camp/guest house. Post lunch, enjoy a camel safari featuring double-humped camels unique to Ladakh and Mongolia at the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

DAY 05: HUNDER - TURTUK - THANG – HUNDER (190 KMS | 6-7 HRS APPROX.)

After Morning Breakfast, drive to Thang (the last village of India on the India-Pakistan border), captured by the Indian Army in the 1971 war. Enroute, visit Turtuk and Tyakshi. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley

DAY 06: NUBRA - PANGONG LAKE VIA SHYOK RIVER ROAD (150 KMS | 6-7 HRS APPROX.)

After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake at 14,500 ft, with a drive of 6 – 7 Hrs. Arrival at the camp, enjoy leisure time and witness the color-changing lake and the sunset on its banks. Overnight stay at Pangong Lake.

DAY 07: PANGONG LAKE – LEH (140 KMS | 4-5 HRS APPROX.)

Early morning, enjoy the picturesque view of Sun rise on lake. After Breakfast drive back to Leh via changla pass, enroute visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. Overnight stay in Leh.

DAY 08: LEH AIRPORT DEPARTURE (4 KMS | 15 MINUTES APPROX.)

Early morning, enjoy the Scenic view of Sun rise on lake. After Breakfast drive back to Leh via changla pass, enroute visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. Overnight stay in Leh.
